My name is Michelle, and I’m just another random person on the internet.

Through the Saving Glass is my attempt to consolidate my ever-changing interests in one digital project. I’m a wannabe foodie, literature aficionado, aspiring Spanish speaker, awesome tennis spectator but terrible player, amateur thrift shopper, and soon-to-be bride (but keeping my last name). I also grew up with grandparents who wash and reuse ziplock bags and buy jewelry at Costco. It was inevitable that I’d inherit their frugal spirit, and this blog is my formal exploration of life through the lens of frugality.

And the title is an allusion to one of the greatest heroines in literature, Lewis Carroll’s Alice.
